Dream

I had a dream about an animal that I have never seen before. I am going to try to recreate it in a painting relying solely on the dream. There are animals in every dream I have, but this one is clearly not seen in waking life. I rely heavily on reference photos in my work, so this will be a departure from my normal way of working. It will either be impossible, crap or be wonderful....if I can step away from my left brain a bit..move to the right, it just might come together.
(And I will add that I feel like the animal has of something to do with Soju and Etha....)

ooo.... it's like a person describing for a composite drawing. How exciting!

Really, this animal has something to do with Soju and Etha? You peaked my curiosity before I got to that part of your post. That painting provoked so much emotion for me, I can only imagine what may come next. I'm pulling for you on this next creation.... can't wait. :)

Sheila could do all the hard work painting it as I describe it. :)

Kathleen, a good start on it today...

Thanks, My friends....

Just read the story of Soju and Etha. It's beautiful. Your vision is so clear, and your voice is so clear, am looking forward to seeing your new work. My dreams evaporate like mist. Can't imagine doing this. I'm voting for 'wonderful' from your selection of outcomes. :-)

dreams are such strange gifts - I hear unearthly music, smell perfumes, feel textures in mine, amongst the usual tornadoes, mountains, rivers . . . I'm loving watching your dream materialize.
