Sculptor suicide

Sculptor Peter Farrow committed suicide yesterday in his gallery. I don't know much about the situation, but he was an accomplished artist living and working in Vermont. My elation about the days sale is quite tempered by this tragedy of yet another extinguished talent.

Who knows what demons drive people to kill themselves rather than to continue fighting. Dealing with tragedies such as this just remind me to tell my friends and family how much I love and appreciate them.

hugs!

Tracey I'm sad for Mr. Farrow, and especially sad for his loved ones. One thing I've noticed, since leaving the engineering world and entering the art world - artists are constantly tapping into and stimulating their emotions. Creativity can't happen without them. Art is what feelings look like. Mr. Farrow was so fortunate to belong to a community of artists who will feel for him - really feel for him and his struggles.

It's very sad. We never know what goes on beneath the surface.
