"Pen's New Day Rising." Working title, but it is working for me. Any suggestions are most welcome. Does sound a bit like a dog show name?.......Still, this is the original string of words the painting began with......
Hey Tracey! I'm so glad you stopped by. Ever since blogger revamped their follower gizmo, I've had to re-join as a follower for a half dozen blogs. Enjoyed your thoughts re: Van Gogh, Rothko and the Animal Advocacy Group. I knew I like you from the beginning.
So, do you start with the name of a piece first or does that come to you as you start to work on it?
Back again, looking at him on my home monitor which is tons better with color. To me he looks like a beautiful sentential, watching over someone important. Almost like he is a stoic watchman. Don't know if that fits into any of your title suggestions, but just what I'm seeing tonight. Stunning!
If you get stuck with the title, just cheat and wait until its finished! I like the way you construct your paintings by the way, do you paint on a black background?

Ah, the black swan. Magnificent!
You made me laugh thinking the title sounded like a dog show name...it sort of does, but that's ok.
I struggle with titles...right now he looks like he's swooping in...but what to do with that in a title, don't know.
Your imagination is definitely working overtime; it's just great.

Great beginning, Tracey! I can't wait to see more.
Sheila, I usually get a string of words first, maybe words that evoke a feeling or images but sometimes an image comes first.
Sam, I really love dark paintings. This one has an acrylic underpainting then a chromatic black background.
Thanks, everyone, as always, for all the encourgements...
I see something beautiful happening here. Love viewing your creativity in progress.
