In the 2003 documentary "Living With Michael Jackson", which has been reaired lately, I recall seeing an intriguing painting. I know MJ loved and collected art, but he also had a number of portraits painted. I was unable to find the one in the film, but did find these two fascinating paintings. All I can say is what a complicated soul.
If you had endless cash, what would a your portrait look like? Who would paint it (living or dead, for fun), what style, what setting? Give me the details.

Wow... I wonder what Wyeth's painting would have looked like. He certainly would not have done anything as gaudy,ornate with a touch of the absurd as these paintings though technically well done.
If money were no object, I'd love a wall of 8x10's done by my artist's friends of how they see me in what ever medium they chose.

Interesting question you pose here. I think my portrait would need to have me smiling, looking just like me and not some fantasy figure I wished I was. And it would have to include Dan & our bassets. We'd need to be outside, with the Grand Tetons as the backdrop. Portrait complete.
Who would paint it? My first thought is you...seriously!

Whoa..He sure was theatrical! I would have one of my artist friends paint me in a realistic style, and it would be like me - a simple, straight forward traditional portrait. The background would be woods and a stream. I'd have my family around me - peeking out from the trees or enjoying the shade beneath them.
this is an interesting and intriguing question. Since I have never even done a self portrait, the thought of someone else painting me is terrifying!
No pretty portraits for me. I think I would like Frida Kahlo to do mine. I look put together on the outside but have lived through unbelievable pain & abuse,loss, depression, hospitalizations, etc. I think Frida could find all the broken parts and paint them in a way that would make sense to me even if to no one else.
